Level 2
Qualification Overview
This qualification consists of one component and provides the knowledge to equip learners with an understanding of the health, social care and children and young people’s sector and their role within it.
The qualification has been developed to meet specific needs in England and Northern Ireland and is available to learners aged 16 and over. It is anticipated that learners will take the award as part of the apprenticeship framework in the health, social care or children and young people’s sectors, but the qualification will also have a wider use for any worker in the sector.
For learners completing an apprenticeship the qualification covers the Employment Responsibilities and Rights (ERR) requirement and addresses all nine targets through a contextualised approach.
