At FutureQuals, we continue to see growth in the number of apprenticeship assessments we conduct, reflecting the increasing importance of high-quality Apprenticeship Assessment and the confidence that employers, providers and apprentices place in robust, independent assessment.
This growth sits within a wider national picture highlighted in Ofqual’s “Apprenticeship end-point assessments statistical report: March 2024 to February 2025”, which shows that apprenticeship assessment activity across England continues to expand. Between March 2024 and February 2025, 168,280 regulated assessments were taken and 153,155 were completed, with the number of apprenticeship standards continuing to rise year on year since 2020.
The report highlights strong outcomes across the sector, with 90.8% of completed EPAs passed at the first attempt, demonstrating the value of well-designed, quality-assured assessment in supporting apprentices to demonstrate occupational competence. The highest volume of completed assessments was at level 3, with 72,305 EPAs completed, representing 47.2% of the total.
