Why FutureQuals?
FutureQuals supports training providers throughout the apprenticeship journey by delivering sector‑aligned qualifications and high‑quality End‑Point Assessments across the industries in which we specialise, particularly pre‑hospital care and aviation. Our qualifications underpin and strengthen apprenticeship pathways, ensuring learners gain the technical knowledge, regulatory understanding and professional behaviours required for competent practice. As an EPAO, we provide rigorous, industry‑specific assessment that reflects real‑world expectations and enables apprentices to demonstrate their capability at the highest standard.
FutureQuals offers a structured, transparent and responsive EPA service designed to minimise delays and support both providers and apprentices. Using our streamlined epaPro system, we commit to gateway approvals within 48 hours and deliver assessment outcomes within ten working days, ensuring a smooth transition to completion. Our online apprentice toolkit provides clear guidance, briefs and preparation materials, while every provider benefits from a dedicated event coordinator for personalised support. With no hidden fees or upfront costs, and registration available from day one of an apprenticeship, FutureQuals delivers a dependable, learner‑centred EPA experience.
FutureQuals is a government-approved End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) and committed to act in accordance with the conditions laid down by the Education & Skills Funding Agency.
The Institute for Apprenticeships (IfATE) are responsible for ensuring the high quality of apprenticeships in England, advising on setting funding caps, approving apprenticeship standards and assessment plans.
Apprenticeship standards are developed by employer groups, known as trailblazers, which are convened by IfATE. FutureQuals are proud to play a role in the trailblazing process for the standards we assess.
Our Apprenticeship Assessment Process
Your training organisation, often in partnership with an employer, contacts FutureQuals to discuss your End-Point Assessment requirements. From the outset, you'll receive structured onboarding support, including one-to-one meetings, access to our epaPRO management system, and guidance from a dedicated Event Manager and Event Coordinator.
We encourage training providers to register apprentices on epaPRO as early as possible. Early registration helps us support your EPA planning, monitor progress, and ensure a smooth assessment journey. There is no charge to register apprentices on the platform.
Working with your dedicated Event Coordinator, you can schedule assessment events to suit your needs, whether you're planning months in advance or require more immediate arrangements.
Our streamlined gateway process is managed through epaPRO, allowing you to upload gateway evidence, manage apprentice records, and prepare assessment bookings efficiently. Documentation can be uploaded throughout the apprentice journey, making gateway submission simple and straightforward.
To help apprentices prepare, FutureQuals provides a range of support materials through epaPRO. Where appropriate, apprentices may have the opportunity to meet their assessor beforehand to ask questions and understand the assessment process. Assessments are conducted by qualified, experienced assessors who ensure fairness, consistency, and the opportunity for apprentices to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
EPA results are issued within 10 working days of the assessment. Following completion, FutureQuals claims certification from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA). Training providers also gain access to valuable performance insights, including assessment outcome trends and national benchmarking data.
