FutureQuals play two key roles in apprenticeships. First, many of our qualifications underpin or support a number of apprenticeship standards. Second, we deliver End-Point Assessments (EPA) which is the final stage that a learner must go through before they can complete their apprenticeship. A key role responding to 999 calls from the public or wider health and social care communities, providing care and clinical support for individuals, or scheduled non-urgent transport. Includes driving safely and at progressively high speed as appropriate, and the responsibility of managing a vehicle.
The UK’s airspace is among the busiest and most complex in the world. Air traffic controllers contribute to the safe and efficient movement of aircraft with civil and military operations, maintaining a fully integrated service 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Works as part of the wider Emergency & Urgent Care setting, having direct contact with service users or others, providing high quality and compassionate care. Day to day duties responding to 999 calls to provide emergency and urgent assistance as part of an ambulance crew, and driving safely and progressively at high speed.
Also known as co-pilot, the role of the First Officer is to support the Aircraft Commander and to assist them in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight. In the event of the incapacitation of the Commander, the First Officer will assume the authority and responsibility for the aircraft and its crew, passengers and load.
Also called an NHS Integrated Urgent Care Contact Handler, this role involves responding to requests for specialist professional assistance members of the public, colleagues, and employees from other organisations. Requests could be received through 999 or 111 calls, online applications, text messages or social media.
The broad aim of the role is to provide an aircraft with the technical support required both prior to and during a flight. This involves coordinating technical and operational factors including the weather, overflight permits, route planning, aircraft performance, airport facilities and fuel requirements.

Apprenticeships allow learners to gain actual workplace experience and achieve a nationally recognised qualification for their commitment.
Apprenticeships usually include a competence based qualification, a Knowledge based qualification or a single combined qualification for competence and knowledge. Some frameworks have embedded Employment Rights and Responsibilities outcomes or a full separate Qualification along with Functional Skills or appropriate GCSEs.

End-Point Assessment
One of the biggest changes in the Government’s Apprenticeships Reforms was the introduction of the independent End-Point Assessment (EPA) as one of the many recommendations made from the Richard Review.
The independent End-Point Assessment is a way of providing an assurance of quality within the apprenticeship system to the employer.
