‘Forces-friendly’ FutureQuals rewarded for commitment to Armed Forces Covenant

FutureQuals have been presented with a Silver Award in the Armed Forces Covenant’s Employer Recognition Scheme.

The award, which was presented by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire Mrs Elizabeth Fothergill CBE at a ceremony recently, recognises businesses and organisations with positive policies towards Defence people issues and employing ex-forces personnel.

Organisations, for example, must demonstrate that the Armed Forces community are not unfairly disadvantaged as part of their recruiting and selection processes, and show support towards Reserves and the Cadet movement.

Receiving the award on behalf of FutureQuals were Lisa Young, Company Secretary & Finance Director, and Elizabeth Pincombe-Stringer, Head of End Point Assessment Operations.

Elizabeth, who is also a CFAV Officer Instructor within Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland ACF, said:

We want to celebrate our shared values of hard work and resilience which military personnel so often possess, and ensure that we put no unnecessary barriers in the way of veterans, reservists, cadet force adult volunteers, or those from military families, in their career. Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association’s slogan is ‘our people add value’ and at FutureQuals our experience really does back that up.
